EISI Expands NaviPlan Product Shelf
Emerging Information Systems Inc. (EISI), developer of NaviPlan financial planning software, has expanded its retail product offering to include a browser-based format, called Offline. NaviPlan Standard USA and NaviPlan Extended USA are now available in the Offline format (version 9.0a), which offers a wide range of features that were previously only available in customized versions for large enterprises.

New tax legislation: Military Family Tax Relief Act
On Veterans Day (November 11, 2003) President Bush passed new taxation legislation. The Military Family Tax Relief Act of 2003 (the Act) grants specific tax relief to members of the military and their families EISI has determined that the Act neither impacts the functionality nor financial planning capabilities of NaviPlan, thus a new version of NaviPlan will not be released at this time.

New tax legislation: Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act
The Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003, which was signed by President Bush on May 28, contains several items that directly affect financial planning software. EISI is now working to incorporate these legislated changes into NaviPlan software, and the first patch release is tentatively scheduled for July.
