Dr. Mark Evans, President & CEO of EISI, Wins Distinguished Service Award
Dr. Mark Evans, EISI’s President & CEO and a graduate of the University of Manitoba, received the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from the university for his innovation and leadership in the area of computer science and for his accomplishments in Manitoba.
Dr. Evans joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manitoba in 1988 and subsequently became a tenured associate professor in 1994. In 1990, he founded EISI, which has become North America’s largest financial planning software developer. He was recognized for his contribution to Manitoba’s economy by leveraging University of Manitoba graduates to build his successful firm, which now has 236 local employees. He also received recognition for his support as co-chair of the University of Manitoba Engineering and Information Technology Complex fundraising campaign.
