Profiles Bulletin: IE7 Issue

Summary
The purpose of this bulletin is to advise users about compatibility issues between Profiles Web-based applications and Internet Explorer version 7. Web-based versions of Profiles Professional v8.0/7.6 and Forecaster v3.0/2.5 will function with Internet Explorer version 7, however some minor issues have been found.

Minor – The issues do not affect the user’s ability to perform operations in the software
Impact Assessment & Recommendations
Testing was conducted on Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 with Profiles Professional v8.0/7.6 and Forecaster v3.0/2.5 Web-based applications. These minor issues related to the use of tabbed browsing and security settings have been found:

| Using multiple tabs “tabbed browsing” causes the application to not function properly. | 1. User is unable to login on multiple tabs using the same login ID and password. 2. User is unable to login on multiple tabs using two different user’s login IDs and passwords. Note: Internet Explorer version 6 also encounters the same issues when opening multiple windows. |
Do not use the application on multiple tabs when using our Web-based products. |
| Installation of Internet Explorer version 7 defaults security settings to “High”. | 1. When Internet Security is set to “High” the Welcome Screen is not displayed. 2. When Privacy Setting is set to “High” the user can not login to the application. Note: Internet Explorer version 6 also encounters the same issues when security setting are set to “High” |
Change security setting for Internet Explorer version 7.0 to “Med-High”. |
