Commonwealth aligns with NaviPlan to support retirement income planning initiative
Commonwealth Financial Network Selects NaviPlan Financial Planning Software
Waltham, Mass. (September 11, 2006) : In line with the launch of its proprietary retirement income planning web portal, Commonwealth Financial Network now offers NaviPlan financial planning software to its network of registered representatives. NaviPlan is a web-based, integrated suite of tools designed to cover a wide range of scenarios, from simple planning concepts to in-depth financial plans.
NaviPlan's newest feature includes a Retirement Distribution Summary Report, designed to educate individuals at or nearing retirement on the strategies that can help achieve their retirement goals, as well as how to account for potential risks.
"We're working to ensure that our representatives are fully prepared to help their clients transition from accumulation to distribution," said Tere D'Amato, Commonwealth's director of advanced planning. "NaviPlan strongly supports our new web portal designed specifically for our advisor's retirement income needs and is the perfect addition to our suite of financial planning software."
Commonwealth's retirement income planning web portal is a central repository of income planning information, including a comprehensive array of educational materials, product overviews, marketing materials, and "how-to" guides. Each resource aids in the creation of a client-specific retirement solution or defining a retirement income planning methodology for a representative's practice.
"The appeal of NaviPlan's software package is the ability to design plans on multiple levels," said D'Amato. "This unique approach makes it easy for our representatives to tailor solutions to diverse client needs at various stages of their relationship."
NaviPlan Standard offers flexible goal-based planning, while NaviPlan Extended is designed for sophisticated cash flow-based planning, including advanced estate planning, small business planning, and stock option modeling. Because NaviPlan is web-based, it offers the ability to work offline, if desired.
Side-by-side "what if?" comparisons are viewable both on-screen and in printed reports. The Planning AssistantT identifies potential problems within the plan and suggests solution opportunities. Plans can also be tested against Monte Carlo simulations.
Founded in 1979, Commonwealth Financial Network, Member NASD/SIPC, is the nation's second-largest, privately owned independent broker/dealer, with offices in Waltham, Massachusetts, and San Diego, California. The firm supports more than 1,000 independent registered representatives nationwide, and makes available a comprehensive array of financial products and services.
