Greene Consulting Announces Online Training Program Knowledge For NaviPlan through its SkillMark Platform: Alliance with EISI Provides a More Comprehensive Training Solution for the Financial Services Industry
Atlanta, GA: May 15, 2003: Greene Consulting Associates, LLC, in alliance with EISI, developer of NaviPlan financial planning software, today launched Knowledge For NaviPlan, a competency-based training program for financial professionals who use NaviPlan. Part of Greene Consulting’s online SkillMark curriculum, Knowledge For NaviPlan is the first training program to deliver best practices in sales and client management within the framework of a software tool that supports the financial planning process.
Knowledge For NaviPlan is composed of six interactive Web-based training courses that integrate NaviPlan Standard version 8.0 screenshots and functionality with training on practical financial planning competencies. The courses build on NaviPlan’s user training by ensuring participants have the requisite financial planning knowledge required to effectively engage clients in the planning process. Because the courses are directly mapped to topics addressed within NaviPlan, participants receive the exact amount of training they require. At the conclusion of each course, participants are tested for certification, providing assurances that they have retained the knowledge.

The six Knowledge For NaviPlan modules are Taxation; Estate Planning; Asset Allocation; Insurance Planning; Education Planning; and Retirement Planning. For each course, participants have unlimited online access for six months, allowing them to choose their training time and work at their own pace. The courses are eligible for extensive continuing education credits providing a total of 44 hours of CE for CFP licensees, and are pending approvals for CTFA and other designations. A subsequent release will include training and certification for NaviPlan Extended.
To help financial institutions take a more integrated approach to launching and supporting financial planning initiatives, Knowledge For NaviPlan can be tailored to specific learning objectives, proprietary products, or customized versions of NaviPlan software. Also, it can be immediately delivered to an unlimited number of users through an ASP solution. In this case, the administration, including course tracking and reporting, is completely managed by Greene Consulting. Alternatively, the program can be integrated with and delivered through a firm’s current learning management system. At Fidelity Investments, for example, Knowledge For NaviPlan is part of its WealthAccess platform of specialized products and services.
