Fidelity introduces Wealth Planning Programs for Investment Professionals

Brokerage Data From Fidelity's Advisor Channel® Can Be Integrated With EISI's NaviPlan To Eliminate Need to Re-Enter Client Data, Saving Time and Increasing Accuracy; SkillMark™ e-Learning Program Helps Expand Wealth Management Knowledge

BOSTON, April 16, 2002 -- Fidelity Investments Institutional Brokerage Group today announced that it has entered into two strategic relationships to expand its wealth planning offering for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and Correspondent Broker/Dealers.

The first relationship, with Emerging Information Systems Inc. (EISI), will provide investment professionals with a discounted rate for EISI's NaviPlan wealth planning software suite. Brokerage data from Advisor CHANNEL,® Fidelity's proprietary analysis, trading and reporting platform, can be integrated with the NaviPlan system, so that there is no need to re-key data into NaviPlan -- saving time and reducing the chance of error. The NaviPlan system is designed to help investment professionals develop complete financial strategies for their clients.

The second strategic relationship will offer discounted access to Greene Consulting's SkillMark™, an e-learning wealth management training program containing courses to help investment professionals specifically address the needs of their high-net-worth clients. Both programs have been in pilot phase since December 2001 and will be broadly available in early summer.

"The amount of investible assets controlled by high-net-worth individuals in the U.S. is expected to increase by more than 40 percent by the end of 2005. As a result, the demand for sophisticated wealth management planning is likely to increase," said Donna Morris, executive vice president, Fidelity Investments Institutional Brokerage Group. "To help capture this fast-growing market, Fidelity is offering its clients access to comprehensive wealth management resources that can help them better understand the sophisticated needs of their high-net-worth clients, while also designing the financial, charitable giving, insurance, stock option and estate planning strategies to meet their specific needs."
