EISI Supports Siebel 7
Chicago, IL, October 1, 2001 - EISI, a leading North American provider of online and desktop financial planning software solutions, today announced its support for Siebel 7, the seventh major release of Siebel eBusiness Applications from Siebel Systems Inc., (Nasdaq: SEBL), the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software. EISI will submit the integration of its NaviPlan Online financial planning software for validation with Siebel 7 within 90 days of general availability, providing financial services organizations with complete eBusiness solutions that increase productivity, maximize revenue and profit, and significantly enhance customer acquisition, satisfaction, and retention.
Siebel Systems enables software vendors to easily integrate solutions through its open, extensible, advanced Smart Web Architecture. Unlike rudimentary HTML clients, Siebel Smart Web Architecture combines a zero-footprint, browser-based Web client and a user interface with levels of interactivity and usability traditionally available only in Windows applications. The Siebel Smart Web Architecture enables organizations to leverage the industry's best eBusiness applications at the lowest total cost of ownership.
Siebel 7 extends the reach and functionality of Siebel Systems' industry-leading suite of integrated, multichannel eBusiness applications, enabling organizations to translate customer relationship strategy into execution by effectively aligning and rapidly integrating channels, employees and partners. Siebel 7 allows organizations to manage, synchronize and coordinate all customer touch points across the Web, call center, field sales and service personnel, and partner channels.
EISIs NaviPlan software combined with Siebel 7 will provide financial institutions with a complete system for offering financial planning and wealth management advice to clients and managing the level of service provided by their financial advisors. EISIs partnership with Siebel Systems has been driven by many major financial institutions that are common customers, who are demanding a seamless integrated solution.
Siebel Systems has a deep understanding of the financial services marketplace, as is demonstrated by their rich, embedded industry-specific functionality and best practices within their software applications and remarkable industry-wide penetration, said Dr. Mark Evans, President and CEO of EISI. Their new Smart Web Architecture and highly interactive Web client is also sure to be very well-received by our joint customers. EISIs planning software combined with Siebel 7 will provide financial institutions with the ultimate system for providing financial planning advice to clients and managing the level of service provided by their advisors.
EISIs NaviPlan online tools allow organizations to utilize the Internet for encouraging, enhancing, and assisting collaboration between their clients and advisors in the most intimate of relationships, the planning of the clients financial future. Advisors can join clients online to review a plan and explore changes to the plan in real time, as if they were sitting in front of a computer together. Clients can also view their plans and explore what-if scenarios on their own. When they do so, their advisors will automatically be notified of the exact client activity via the planned integration with Siebel 7 in order to follow-up appropriately.
With the combined solution, creating a plan for a client will be simplified, as all the client data stored in Siebel eBusiness Applications will automatically populate the NaviPlan financial plan, thus reducing the time it takes to create a plan while eliminating data entry errors. If new client data is captured during the planning interview process, this new data will automatically be pushed into Siebel eBusiness Applications from NaviPlan, with the planned integrated solution, so that the entire organization has access to the new client information. If a client reviews a plan online, the NaviPlan online collaboration tools will allow advisors to view the plan online via Siebel eBusiness Applications. By integrating the two products, advisors will also be able to generate and manage follow-up activities related to the plan. For example, if a plan calls for a trust to be created, the combined solution will automate the steps necessary to create the trust.
Together, the integration of EISI and Siebel eBusiness Applications will enhance the competitive position of financial institutions and reduce their costs to acquire, service, and support customers, said Catherine Cherubino, Senior Managing Director, Software and Industry Alliances for Siebel Systems.
