Can't go wrong with NaviPlan Standard version 11.0
"Version 11 is like a breath of fresh air. It has a clean, intuitive feel to it, and it is much more responsive. New menus, a new layout, and new features trump any minor failings. NaviPlan Standard 11 is a winner!" writes Joel Bruckenstein for FinancialAdvisorMagazine.com.
EISI's NaviPlan Standard version 11.0 represents a major milestone in technology development for the company. Upon completing a usability study of its clients, EISI uncovered usage patterns and habits that provided the framework for its development objectives. As a result, version 11.0, which is built on EISI's next-generation in architecture, features:
- A New Client wizard that expedites new client file creation
- Simplified navigation
- Anywhere-access to reports
- Automatically updated calculations, which improves speed, accuracy
- 10-times faster screen-to-screen transitions
- New architecture, which reduces bandwidth requirements
In a previous initiative to help advisors streamline their pl anning process, EISI conceptualized a levels-based planning structure for its products that lets advisors choose between a pre-planning level (for quick assessments) and four graduated planning levels. Version 11.0 describes optimal situations in which to use each. Says Bruckenstein: "Whenever a user selects a plan level, a status box provides useful information, including the estimated time required to complete the plan, a description of the plan and promote options."
Once in a planning level, EISI has ensured that the subsequent steps to creating a plan are intuitive. "As you start entering plan data," says Bruckenstein, "navigation remains a strong suit. The navigation bar at the left keeps you informed about where you are in relation to the module as a whole. The next button guides you on a logical path, making sure you don't miss anything."
Automatic calculations and minimum data entry requirements (with the option to add more detail) move the process along. "Through the clever placement of buttons, links and drop-down menus, EISI has managed to clean up the interface while at the same time making key features more accessible. For example, the basic input screens require less information, and if you need more, the detail screens are only a click away," Bruckenstein says. Also just a click away is a new drop-down list of all available client reports.
