NaviPlan at the forefront of Edward Jones’ big technology project for 2006
NaviPlan technology is being integrated with Edward Jones' portfolio-management system to provide the investment dealer with a holistic wealth-management solution.
The Investment Executive article "Integration Key to Software Solutions" by Jim Middlemiss quotes head of Canadian operations at Edward Jones in Mississauga, Ont. Gary Reamey: "We want the ability to have a fully integrated plan."
Spending a quarter of a billion dollars a year on its technology investments, Edward Jones recognizes that technology is at the forefront of its business efforts. Says Reamey: "I think for us the goal is to build the infrastructure to serve our customers better while at the same time making it easier with changes in technology for investment representatives, branch offices, and administrators to build business."
Edward Jones is working with Emerging Information Systems Inc. (EISI), developer of NaviPlan financial planning software, to configure NaviPlan so that, according to Reamey, all data is integrated, thus simplifying the planning process for advisors.
Also quoted in the article is TowerGroup Analyst Matt Bienfang who sites the top 10 business drivers in the financial services industry and how technology investments such as that which Edward Jones is making in NaviPlan are enabling companies to remain competitive.
