'Excellent' and 'thorough'—NaviPlan scores 4 ½ out of 5 stars
Summarizing NaviPlan as being an overall 'excellent
program', Mark Weinstein gives NaviPlan 4 ½ out of a possible 5 stars in the CPA Technology Advisor's "Estate Planning Software Review – 2005".
Weinstein's review of the six most competitive estate planning software products on the market covers: comprehensiveness, reliability, and ease-of-use; calculations; customization, flexibility, and features; client presentation skills; company history, support, and help.
For ease-of-use, Weinstein says that advisors would be "hard pressed to find a better, more thorough program for financial planning," and notes that the Planning Assistant is especially helpful in assisting advisors with recognizing opportunities in their plan analysis.
Given that NaviPlan is best known for its financial planning capabilities, Weinstein says that the estate planning functionality and flexible client reporting options in NaviPlan make it appealing to a broad range of users.
