Today's clear leader in financial planning software is NaviPlan

Published in the latest issue of Investment Advisor magazine, Andrew Gluck's article "Software Showdown" examines the latest releases of the three most widely used financial planning software products: NaviPlan, Financial Profiles, and Money Tree.

"Nobody refers to NaviPlan as Emerging Information Systems Inc., but it is the company that makes NaviPlan Extended and NaviPlan Standard," Gluck writes. "No matter what you call it, this is the leader in the industry."

Explored in the article are these features, which set NaviPlan apart from the competition: NaviPlan was the first to market with a fully customizable, Web-based solution for enterprises; NaviPlan presents two deployment options (desktop and offline) for RIAs and independent planners not affiliated with a B/D or custodian; NaviPlan will be available this fall as an ASP (Web-hosted) solution to serve the mid- and small-sized firms.

Gluck writes: "EISI leapfrogged its two big competitors over the past few years by introducing the first Web-based enterprise-wide planning software."
