Deloitte & Touche names EISI a finalist for the 2004 Deloitte Canadian Technology Fast 50

With a recorded 70 per cent growth last year, Emerging Information Systems Inc. (EISI) has been named a finalist on Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 award; the final rankings will come out at the end of September.

Says Cindy Bennett, Director of Marketing, EISI, in a Winnipeg Free Press article: "We're honoured to have made it on the list. There is real momentum going on now at EISI... there's lots of new business and new people joining the team all the time."

Deloitte's annual Technology Fast 50 program honours Canada's fastest-growing technology companies based on percentage revenue growth over a five-year period. Winners vary from size to sector, from large and small companies, from public and private companies, and from all technology industry segments, including software, hardware, communications, wireless, and life sciences.

EISI has made the Technology Fast 50 once before. In 2000, when companies in Eastern Canada were dominating the industry, EISI was awarded the #41 spot with five-year revenue growth recorded at 710.88 per cent.

This year, according to the 2004 Deloitte Fast 50 press release issued by Deloitte: "Canada ’s tech sector shines out West."

Says Garry Foster, national director, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Deloitte in the release: “The results further attest the progressive growth-trend within the Canadian tech-sector, in particular in Western Canada.

"This is an encouraging sign for these companies, as well as for the Canadian tech industry as a whole, that growth opportunities still exist — particularly as we increasingly see evidence of a flourishing economy.”
