EISI named one of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies
Making the Next 100 list, Emerging Information Systems Inc. is distinguished as one of Canada's aggressive entrepreneurial leaders in innovation and exports, according to the 16th annual PROFIT 100 ranking of Canada ’s Fastest-Growing Companies by PROFIT: Your Guide to Business Success.
The companies that comprise the PROFIT 100 and the Next 100 earn their rank based on five-year revenue growth. From 1998 – 2003, EISI's revenue has increased 355% with exports accounting for 86% of all sales.
On the Next 100, EISI ranks at No. 166. Other Next 100 companies include Directors of Heat (No. 101), which runs five Sammy J. Peppers restaurants in B.C., WestJet Airlines (No. 115), Sierra Wireless (No. 136), and laser eye surgery pioneer TLC Vision (No. 200).
According to PROFIT Magazine: " Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies Nos. 101 to 200 are aggressive businesses tapping new niches, reinventing old industries, and exploiting global markets... The typical Next 100 firm has increased sales by more than five times in the past five years. What's more, one-fifth of these firms would have qualified for last year's PROFIT 100."

- Swift Trade Inc. – proprietary stock trading
- Gram Precision Inc – digital scale manufacturer
- WaveRider Communications Inc. – broadband wireless systems
- Trafford Publishing – on-demand publishing services
