Dr. Linda Strachan
Vice-President, Product Marketing
Dr. Linda Strachan joined EISI, the largest financial planning software developer in North America, in 1996. As Vice President of Product Marketing, Linda works closely with the President in establishing the direction for NaviPlan and Profiles software, with respect to functionality and user interface design. This includes closely monitoring industry trends to ensure the company’s products enable financial advisors to capitalize on opportunities.
Linda’s research and expertise in retirement distribution planning developments have led to innovative product solutions and garnered interest from well-respected financial planning media and event organizers. She often speaks at conferences and is regularly quoted in trade publications. Linda and her team of highly-specialized product functionality experts work closely with clients and prospective clients, which gives them valuable insights into market demand.
Before joining EISI, Linda was a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manitoba from 1989 to 1995. She received a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Artificial Intelligence from the University in 1999. Her thesis was one of the first commercial applications of adaptive user interfaces and was based on an early version of NaviPlan. Linda earned her Certified Financial Planning (CFP™) designation in 2001.
