Karen Jarema Cornejo

Karen joined EISI in February, 2008. Karen is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company and its affiliates and advising EISI on a range of legal and strategic issues. Karen has extensive experience in corporate, business and technology law and will play a key role in EISI’s corporate development activities, strategic partnerships, licensing and compliance.

Before joining EISI, Karen was a partner at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP where she practiced law for 11 years and worked with a wide variety of companies in the management of complex commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and technology licensing and protection. Karen was first introduced to EISI as a client in 2003 and has since been the principal lawyer responsible for providing legal services to EISI. While at TDS, Karen guided EISI through several corporate transactions, including the acquisition of Financial Profiles, Inc. in 2006.

Karen was called to the bar of Manitoba in 1997 and is a graduate of the University of Manitoba where she received a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours, Finance) in 1993 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1996.
